Fisher at (almost) 3&1/2

Top 10 Interesting facts about Fisher:
10. He loves to sing, he spends all day with a tune of some sort coming from his mouth.

9. I believe that the kid may have a natural propensity for soccer, but that may be a mom's biased perspective.

8. He asks almost daily about going to school. A pretty typical conversation between us.
Fisher: Mom, I'm going to school when I get a little bigger.
Me: Yes, you will.
F: Are you going to be sad, Mom?
M: Yes, I will miss you.
F: I'll come back on the bus when the teacher says it's time to go, you'll see me then, Mom.
M: I know but I'll still miss you.
F: Will you be happy to see me when I get home?
M: Yes, I will be so happy to see you.

7. He thoroughly enjoys helping his daddy with projects around here. As of late he's learned how to grout tile.

6. He's recently become very concerned with his clothes. He wants only to wear T-shirts (not sweathirts, sweaters, or shirts with buttons or collars), he also prefers that they be orange. So if ever you see him at church in something other than a t-shirt, I've probably reached some sort of comprimise that involves an orange t-shirt underneath his dress clothes.

5. Another favorite past time is playing Thomas the Train games on the internet. He's gotten quite good at using the mouse, it makes me laugh.

4. Last week Fisher climbed the dune climb at the sand dunes for the first time in his life.

3. Fisher is very proud of his newish ability to do a summersault.

2. He's totally happy that spring is finally here and he can finally ride his bike outside. Ever since we got back from vacation in February he was asking when the snow was going to melt so that he could ride his bike in the driveway.

1. He's very happy to be having another baby brother coming in September. Today he went to the midwives office for our 20-week ultrasound so that he could see "a picture of the baby in momma's belly." I think he may have a hard time waiting for the baby to grow inside mommas belly until after summer is over. He told his Daddy as they walked into our appointment, "This is where we're going to get the baby, it's going to be amazing!"

*If you didn't already please check my previous post from this morning about what's new with Noah too.

Noah at 21 Months

Top 10 Interesting Noah facts:
10. He LOVES bugs, the other day we were outside drawing with sidewalk chalk when he suddenly stopped everything saying "Bug, bug, bug," to walk over and inspect an ant while laying down on his tummy to get a good look of said ant which is now two inches from his nose.

9. He really like worms too. I've been able to do a bit of landscape planning again and while digging have pointed out worms to the boys, Fisher checks them out but then carries on with whatever he was doing but Noah on the otherhand, is fascinated by them for the longest time.

8. He's talking loads, but at a stage when we ask him a lot of questions in order to figure out exactly what he's trying to tell us. The problem though is that when asked, "which one?" His response is always, "Blue one!" As you may conclude, most of the time he's not really referring to anything blue.

7. I'm proud to say the boy has the manners thing down, even when he's mad he yells, "No, kank you!"

6. The boy can polish off an ice cream cone like nobody's business.

5. He could play with his Daddy's hotwheels for hours.

4. He enjoys ALREADY, if given the opportunity to sit right next to his brother in the car, to poke and antagonize him. I was under the impression that things like that didn't start until they were at least 6 or 7.

3. He will point out every hill while driving in the car. And whether going either up or down will always say, "wheee!"

2. He loves to sing, you've seen few things as precious as that little guy singing 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed, even if he misses a few words here and there.

1. He's got the sweetest little personality and God knew exactly what he was doing by giving that little dude to us! We're all thankful for him I think even Franny when he's carrying our pour old kitty around the house.

Big post UDATE coming tomorrow

Stay Tuned, tomorrow is a big day, I probably won't get to post about it until about 10pm or so, So you may just want to check back on Wednesday.

Love from the Fam! We've been having loads of fun lately but no real pictures to show for all that we've been up to!

So I bribed them with fruit snacks while they wrestled on the floor for a couple updated photos.

What's New???

Well since you asked, the boys and I spent two weeks doing daycare for my mom while they were away on vacation. In my mind when she asked, I thought no problem, I'm already making breakfast, reading stories, singing songs, playing cars making lunches and laying two little ones down for nap, why not do it for 6? And in fact maybe it will even be a little easier because they'll entertain each other, right? RIGHT!!! I was in a bit of denial about how stressful it would be, so therefore our first couple days were a bit difficult but as the boys and I found our way into a routine, we all had some fun.

While we were busy in the big city of TC, Andy stayed home pushing to wrap up some projects on the house, and boy did he. In the kitchen I came home to a fresh coat of paint, new countertop, and a new sink. In the office/den new paint, and new crown molding. In the living room a fresh coat of paint on the walls, trim, and windows. He also got new base trim on the stairs and in the upstairs hallway. Then yesterday we got new carpet (I AM SO THRILLED!!!) in the living room, den and stairs/hallway. It's been loads of work and it's now the house we both envisioned when we bought it 5 years ago. Happy anniversary house! There are still a couple VERY little projects that Andy hopes to finish in the next couple weeks but once those are done the only thing left to do is put a for sale sign in the yard. It's exciting to think of where we'll be next but now that the house is what I'd wanted it to be, I'm hoping for a little time to enjoy it. We're not in a rush to sell, just want to be settled into our next house when Fisher starts kindergarden in two and a half years, it feels like a good place to be.
