It's been a while, I know...

(Noah in the snow, he just doesn't manuever well with all those extra layers.)

Last night we went to this really cool event in Petoskey put on by an outdoor education program. First we were taken by horse drawn sleigh to a small hiking trail. Along the trail were about six people dressed in pretty cool animal costumes who gave descriptions of the animals they were impersonating, it was so well done and the kids really soaked it up. I was SO impressed. These are some pictures from our evening.

(Fisher learning about the Oppossum.)

The winter feels too long already, but now that I'm sitting down to write an update, I guess quite alot has been going on. The boys and I stay pretty busy visiting friends, doing our "home pre-school thing," and just the usual learning new things everyday. When their Daddy gets home, they are always excited to see him to have time to play tickle chase or play outside. (My future is so bright I have to wear shades even while I brush my teeth.)

Lately, Fisher's been coming up with the funniest things, the other day he told Andy and I that we needed to get a new doctor kit, we asked why since we already have one and his response, "We need a Noah-Price one," (after all if there's a Fisher-Price shouldn't there be a Noah Price.) A couple weeks ago Fisher got to go sledding just he and his Daddy, we didn't want Noah to get upset about the plan so we asked Fisher not to talk about it in front of him (since he enjoys sledding too, but for about a total of 10 minutes). Needless to say they had a great time, a few days later Fisher said, "Mom I want go "D-I-K." I said Fisher could you explain to me what you are talking about? He repeated, "I want to D-I-K." So now I'm blushing but still don't know where he's going with this, he then whispers "I want to go sledding, Mom." I guess in order to protect his brother's feelings he felt like he had to do what all the adults do when they are telling a secret and just spell it out and he couldn't have been more convinced that you spell sledding "D-I-K."

(Daddy and Noah sledding, I couldn't get one of Andy and Fisher they go down too fast, they all turned out a blur!)

As for Noah, he's saying more all the time especially when we take the time to slow down and really pay attention. He's started putting 2-word phrases together often. His favorite is "C'mon Fisher," which sounds more like, "mon Isher." He's started to be really silly especially for the camera. I think I have more pictures to post of him than his brother for the first time in a long time. He's a pretty independent boy, he likes to be given the space to figure something out on his own than to be shown how, hmm, I think I may be a bit that way.

("Hey Noah, smile for the camera!")
